Microsoft to launch Office for the web
Finally Microsoft is coming up with a web-based version of their flagship product, Microsoft Office. This version of Office will have Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote and will be available to all users through Office Live Services. This is first time ever users can actually perform some basic editing functions. As per Microsoft, users can now “access, create, edit, share and collaborate” their documents.

Although the Redmond giant had provided the Office Live Workspace in the past, it was extremely limited when compared to Google Docs and Zoho. Why? Simply because it never had any real editing capability. Now that a real Office version is on it’s way, only time will tell us where this is taking us.
