World’s favorite photo website, Flickr.com reached 2 billion photos less than a year ago. And now its time for it’s 3 billionth photo celebration.  Technically, 3 billion is 3,000,000,0000….which although seems to have a lot of zeros is actually a very large number when you consider the storage space required to maintain this many digital photographs. Although Facebook.com does have around 10 billion photos, it does not truly qualify as a photo website. It is more of a social networking platform. The photo shown below is officially the 3  billionth image in Flickr.com. It shows a picture of a door on an abandoned house in New Orleans.
