3D Blu-Ray at your home by 2010

November 25th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Hardware, Science

Panasonic, the world’s one of the most respected brands for digital technology is now all set to take Blu-Ray to a whole new level. Currently, they have submitted their proposal for 3D Blu-Ray technology to the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA). The request for proposal is basically for a standard to store 3D left/right-eye, two-channel Full HD imagery.

Ofcourse if this is accepted, Panasonic has to come up with “a new type of HDMI cable to play the three-dimensional images” as well as a whole new other set of supporting technologies to successfully project the images. Fortunately for all of us, BDA is a fast responder in approving proposals, so as per TechOn, 3D Blu-Ray may be arriving as early as 2010 !
