Nokia unveils N97

Nokia finally launches the N97. Dubbed as “the world’s most advanced mobile computer,” the phone has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and super-sharp 3.5-inch touch display. The phone is social network friendly and “providing an ‘always open’ window to favorite social networking sites and Internet destinations.”
The N97 features an electronic compass and a built-in A-GPS to sense the phones “social location” and update several social networks in real-time. “The 16:9 widescreen display can be fully personalized with frequently updated widgets of favorite web services and social networking sites.”
The phone is ofcourse uber-powerful, featuring 32GB of memory that is upgradable upto 48GB ! For the music lovers, Nokia says, “…[N97] offers full support for the Nokia Music Store and continuous playback time of up to 1.5 days.” For the photo enthusiasts, Nokia offers a Carl Zeiss optics based 5-Megapixel camera with high-quality, 16:9 and DVD quality video capture capabilities ! Adding to this Nokia is also offering services like Share on Ovi to allow sharing over HSDPA and WLAN.
Packed with a complete keyboard, a virtual touch input and with Web 2.0-friendly features, this phone is a perfect choice for Internet-savvy consumers with Social networking interests.
The Nokia N97 will be available in the first half of 2009 in Europe.
