A company called Denon based in Japan, has just unveiled the world’s first universal SACD/DVD/Blu-ray player. The model named DVD-A1UD, features “two HDMI 1.3 output, 1080/60p & 1080/24, SD/SDHC card slot, 7.1-channel analog outputs, Denon link 4th Technology, D.I.P.C. (Denon Pixel Image Correction) function, Pure AV Direct, 32-bits/192kHz D/A converter, and the Bonus View Ready function.”

Denon reported that although the player is not BD-Live ready, it will soon be upgraded with a new firmware.

Price ? 546,000 Yen  i.e.  US $5930 (ugghhh….just when I was thinking of buying one !)
