To everyone’s surprise, the Redmond giant is now into making T-shirts ! Yes…you read it right, starting 15th December Microsoft will be marketing a new line of graphic tees called “Softwear by Microsoft.”
The top ad-agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky will be the one Microsoft is completely relying on, for this next campaign. About the campaign Microsoft explains, “[Softwear is] a clothing line that taps the nostalgia of when PCs were just starting to change our lives.” Currently, the clothing line “features retro MS-DOS fonts and a Bill Gates mugshot tee“.
Recently, Microsoft has been seen very focused on marketing, probably because it realized that sitting idle and making Vista may as well be their total downfall. Hopefully “I’m a PC” and the new “Softwear” will turn out to be the light at the end of the tunnel.
