Google Chrome is now official, no longer in beta

Finally Google launches the official version of Chrome. It is no longer in beta anymore. With GMail still in beta even after 4.5 years, most people never expect Google to launch any official versions of their products. But they are wrong.
Chrome is now available for Windows XP Service pack 2 and Windows Vista. Similar to the beta version, this official version also allows Google searches right from the address bar itself. All other usual stuff included, like private browsing, thumbnails of the previous pages (when you start Chrome), crash control that will close the faulty tab only and some minor system level functions. Incase you are not aware Chrome sports a much faster JavaScript engine called V8 which aids to its blazing speed. The Linux and OS X versions are expected to be launched by early 2009.
