The largest laptop I had ever used was my PowerBook 17″ G4. Even though it was less than 7 lbs, it felt really heavy. Gone are those days when you considered 17″ laptops to be your desktop replacement. Check out this laptop from ASUS which has a 18.4 inch screen and a weight of 11.5 lbs! (Holy mother earth!!)

Ofcourse with heavy weight comes heavy weight stuff. Boasting a 1920×1200 resolution screen, W90-X1 is powered by a  2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 6GB of RAM and a ultra-powerful ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 dual video card with 1GB of fully dedicated memory! Also on board is a 320GB HDD (7200 rpm), 2 MP web camera and an integrated 5.1-channel Altec Lansing speaker system. W90-X1 also has HDMI, ExpressCard slot, eSATA Firewire ports and an 8-in-1 media card reader. This big dude runs Windows Vista 64-bit Premium Edition.

If you don’t mind carrying a 12 lbs device along with you everywhere you go and don’t mind spending over $2000 on a computer in this very encouraging economy, W90-X1 will be your ultimate desktop replacement and more.

Price? $2200 and available at NewEgg.com.
