We have posted quite a few posts related to robots in the past, all dealing with how they imitate humans and human behavior. This time it is different. Take a look at this awfully real looking fish, but this is no toy, it is a full fledged robot which imitates…well…fishes.
The movements of the fish are based on the regular motion of a real fish which this robot fish does really well. The credit goes to Yamamoto Laboratory of Japan which plans to use this fish for research purposes. It is interesting to see how robots started to look so real. You might want to keep one of these at your home one day, but what ever you do, make sure you don’t try to eat it!
