There are probably millions of speakers out there, designed in various different ways trying to stand out from the crowd.  Some designs are non-functional, some with a specific motive. One good example would be this six speaker system which is extremely space efficient when not in use. The “Cube Speakers” from designer Ji-Hyung Jung takes portability to the next level!

The speakers are held together based on the physics of magnetism. The whole set consists of 1 woofer and 5 speakers. The top part of the woofer is actually the volume controller and “itself is the main base unit that charges the other speakers.”
