Looks like a huge illuminated curved currency note? It definitely is the design of a note, a LTL 1000 banknote and is on a 10 storey office building in Kaunas, Lithuania. The exterior has been made with 4500 glass pieces bearing enamel paint to produce this very effect of a banknote. It is the Office Center 1000 which is said to be “one of the Baltic region’s most daring and original construction projects.”

This very note was chosen due to its  historical significance. Chief Lithuanian architect Rimas Adomaitis of RA Studija states that “this particular banknote came out between the two devastating world wars during a period that Lithuania was independent“. It is this note from around 1926 which has been thought of as a theme for this building. Presently it has 85% occupancy, with even major banks being some of the occupants.
