Vending machines and foodies…the equation just strikes right and you know about it, so what’s new? Last time we came across a vending machine, it was about the pizza making machine…yes the machine that make pizzas, remember it?  If it’s news for you, then hold on as there’s now a new type of vending machine that doesn’t cater food. So what does it do?

These new machines from Envirobank doesn’t require your dollars or cents as input but all the throw away things that can be recycled. So what do you get in return? You get credits for discount shopping. Isn’t that amazing idea for a green-er and better earth? These are reverse vending machines that “hold up to 3000 containers and accept PET (#1), HDPE (#2) and PVC (#3) plastic, brown, clear and green glass and aluminum cans”. You deposit  and you do get returns. This ‘cash for cans’ idea is a great step towards a cleaner earth which is said to be beneficial in numerous ways like lessening of  CO2 emissions, reduction in waste disposal and collection costs and even creating advertising and fund raising prospects. Will be eagerly waiting to see how this works, so let’s start grouping the cans and plastics….. won’t you?
