E-Ink based watches from Phosphor – Goodbye LCD

E-Ink has been a great success especially in the world of electronic book reader devices. Both the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader use it to take the material’s advantage of ultra-low power consumption. But using the same technology for a watch is probably unheard of. A company called Phosphor Watches has come up with these beautiful devices that use E-Ink to display time and more.
The readability, as usual is superb. There are three versions, the “Digital Hour Clock”, the “Digital Calendar Clock” and the “Ana-Digi clock”. It’s not just the display, the watches themselves look very trendy and is (possibly) targeted to the younger crowd.
Price? $200 (approx.)
