For all the bi-cycle enthusiasts, your prayers for taking a ride at night has finally been answered. Even if your bike lights are not enough, you would probably be much safer by using this self-powered laser, which is not only very visible by itself but also responds to the traffic around it!

The idea comes from industrial designer Leonardo Manavella, who just calls it “Laser”. The device “shoots an elliptical beam around your bicycle that makes it seem bigger than it really is – to about the size of a car.“ The laser is highly sensitive to any object intersecting it’s perimeter.  Any vehicle coming too close to the bike will trigger the system, switching the color of the light from green to red and sounding all the alarms!
