Samsung introduces e-passports with AMOLED

There had been an idea of a single multipurpose identity card that was designed to be a passport, a driver’s license and even the social security card too. If you haven’t come across it then you can have a look at the concept Troika. Well, what you see above is another such card termed as the e-passport.

With identity cardsĀ  gearing up for the techie “upgradation”, you might be interested in knowing that this e-passport from Samsung embodies in itself a AMOLED screen that shows the concerned person’s rotating head when activated by a RF source reader. The 2-inch 240×320 display of the card is capable of showing the picture in 260k colors and 10k:1 contrast. Nothing more is yet known but you can have a look at the video samsunge-passport.
