Let’s face it…Firefox is the world’s favorite web browser. Whether you use Mac or PC, this web browser is almost a de-facto choice of any user. There’s a reason that Firefox has been downloaded 1 billion times, half of which was in the last 17 months only. This is the period when Firefox 3.0 was around.

To break up the numbers…Firefox 3.0 was downloaded 8 million times in 24 hours after its release while Firefox 3.5 was downloaded 5 millions times. Microsoft IE’s share continues to decline. Apple Safari and Firefox collectively has more than 30% of the web browser market worldwide.

Looks like IE’s days are numbered!
