Microsoft confirmed recently that Windows Mobile 7 will be targeted at the same high end market as Apple iPhone and Google Android. The most notable feature to be include is ofcourse the multi-touch technology. The last few versions of WinMo wasn’t very revolutionary at all. Most users felt the user interface to be primitive when compared to iPhone and Android.
Microsoft also said that WinMo7 would require a very high end hardware and should faster than iPhone and any current phones running Android. This may be true since reports indicate that the next WinMo7 device will use “either an NVIDIA Tegra, Qualcomm 8000-series, or Texas Instruments 3430 processor at its heart, at least 256MB of memory, and an 800×480 or larger screen.”
Looks like the Redmond giant is finally waking up!
