Samsung Dual LCD takes a new turn in camera design

Isn’t this such a cute clown? That’s not a sticker on the camera but a real LCD screen. Now you must be wondering why the screen is in the front of the camera. No worries…as even the back portion features a screen as well. To sum up it’s actually a double viewing treat from Samsung’s DualView TL220 and TL225, that not only lets you photograph others but even yourself enjoying a wonderful moment.
The front 1.5″ LCD screen not only makes it easier to compose a picture for some self portraits, but is also used to play built-in animations [in Child Mode] to get the attention of babies for that “picture perfect” moment. Controls and menus are navigable with just taps and hand gestures on the rear LCD using a gesture based UI. This obviously makes conventional cameras look obsolete. Other features include a 12.2 megapixel CCD, 27mm wide angle lens, 4.6x optical zoom, 14 preset modes, advanced dual image stabilization and HD video recording at 720p. The TL220 is priced at $299.99 while the Tl225 at $349.99, both of which are to be available in September.
