After the Eee PC saga and its super-success looks like the Taiwanese giant is all set to do the same in the eBook world. Called the Eee Reader (what else), the reader will be available in two versions. One of them will be officially the world’s cheapest eBook Reader and will be the budget version, while the premium version will provide additional features and will be slightly more expensive. The device will have dual touch-screens to enhance the effect of a real book.

As London Times report, it “enables its owner to read an ebook much like a normal book, using the touchscreen to “turn” the pages from one screen to the next. It also gives the user the option of seeing the text on one screen while browsing a web page on the other. One of the screens could also act as a virtual keypad for the device to be used like a laptop.

Price? $164 (approx.)

Availability? End of 2009
