Apple introduced the iPod Touch 3rd generation (along with the 5th generation iPod Nano) at today’s “Rock & Roll” event. The new version features a faster speed (atleast by 50 percent) and claimed to have the same processing power as the iPhone 3GS. Available in three avatars…8GB version without the mic-equipped remote, a 32GB model with advanced remote and a new high-end 64GB model. But is it enough to take on the upcoming Microsoft Zune HD?

Most fans have a mixed reaction. Zune HD has a major advantage of having an integrated HD radio and a super crisp OLED display. It is also priced lower than the Apple  iPod Touch.  Although Apple has a humongous market share (73.8%) currently, Zune HD does look promising and powerful. Well I guess we will soon see in the next few months…
