Uberpowerful steel Velcro that can take a 35 ton load

Does it look like the above steel can hold 35 tons of weight? Actually it can. This extreme steel velcro called the Metaklett can do this using the “hook-and-loop concept”. The idea came from a group of German engineers who also says that this achievable at up to 1472 degrees. It’s made from “perforated steel strips 0.2 millimetres thick, one kind bristling with springy steel brushes and the other sporting jagged spikes.”
The idea is simple but can prove to be ridiculously powerful. Personally I can foresee a lot of application for this technology especially in industrial engineering.
