Prius has long been one of the best rated hybrid vehicle. Toyota did make it a big success. Now its time to make it better. The Japanese giant will be introducing a plug-in hybrid concept of Prius sometime next week at the Frankfurt Motor show. The vehicle will be powered by lithium batteries! How cool it that? “The PHEV Prius will have lithium-ion batteries (finally!) and an electric range of 20 km (12.4 miles), with a top speed in electric mode of 100 kph (62 mph).

You can even recharge the car to its full capacity in just one and half hours from a 230V power supply. Toyota promises to have the test edition by early 2010.
