First Motorola and now LG. I guess finally these companies are realizing that to compete with Android or the iPhone OS you need more than a no-good proprietary OS. Since most of the world is slowly shifting to  smartphones, having a powerful OS is becoming the priority. Welcome the LG GW620, the company’s first official Android mobile phone. With a slide out QWERTY keyboard, 5 MP camera and 3 inch full touchscreen, this device combines power with portability. The phone is targeted to the “young professionals” and not the business users for which LG says WinMo is still the best option.

The LG GW620 will be available sometime end of this year in Europe. No news when it intends to show up State-side.
