LED lightbulb from Panasonic can glow for 19 years
Yes, you read the heading right. And yes, the new EverLEDs from Panasonic will glow uptil 19 years considering you use it around five and half hours a day. That’s 40 times longer than any incandescent bulb. The best part…these bulbs actually consume only one-eighth the power of regular incandescents. Available in Japan around October 21.
Although the pricing has not yet been confirmed by Panasonic, it is estimated to be around $40. CNET says, “a 60-watt-equivalent LED bulb would cost only 300 yen (about $3) a year instead of 2,380 yen ($25.80)–a significant savings over a lifetime.”
