Have you ever thought of a multi-touch mouse? Microsoft Research has recently unveiled a series of multi-touch computer mice. This set of five multi-touch mouse prototypes seem to be crazy but may prove to the the future of computing. “Each one uses a different touch detection method, and at first glance all five seem to fly in the face of regular ergonomics.” The touch detections of the mice are perceived by technologies like internal camera, capacitive detection and even orb-housed IR cameras.

We all probably thought Apple may be the pioneer in this domain, but it looks like the Redmond giant is not far behind.
