We have been hearing the words “iPhone killer” for a long time now. As much we all want to see it, we kinda got bored with it. Its like seeing mirages in desert. But now it’s for real. Motorola Droid is very likely a true “iPhone killer”. Ofcourse the whole credit goes to Google, since we have seen several cellphones with excellent hardware but awful software in the past…HTC being one of them. It is estimated that Verizon Wireless/Motorola sold atleast 100,000 Droids in the first week of its debut. Infact Motorola plans to sell a whopping 10 million Andoird-powered mobile phones in 2010.

Things look good for iPhone haters and bad for Apple. But still considering that Apple “sold more than 1 million of the latest model in its weekend debut in June“, the iPhone may still be the king.
