Just when you thought upgrading to Windows 7 from your rusty XP was the best decision you made (in a while), Microsoft revealed its plan for Windows 8. The next version of the world’s most popular OS will possibly be released sometime late 2012. That’s 3 years from the launch of Windows 7, which is actually quite acceptable though. As per the roadmap, it is interesting to see that Microsoft did not even consider Vista as a major upgrade. Well…I guess no surprises there.
Microsoft promises to keep its pace strictly by the schedule, although we have seen something different in Vista’s case. But with the recent success of Windows 7, may be not too many people have much to complain anyway.
