Microsoft worked with Apple to make Silverlight work on iPhone?

At the PDC 2009, there was something new happening, something you wouldn’t probably have imagined. Microsoft demonstrated H.264 video streaming wirelessly, using the company’s Silverlight technology right from the Apple iPhone! Even more interesting…Microsoft confirms that it worked with Apple to achieve this. Considering that Apple didn’t quite give Adobe the same leverage when it came to implement Flash, it kinda feels weird. The truth is Microsoft worked on the technology and made it work on the iPhone and Apple probably said, ‘OK fine, we keep it’.
Still, don’t be surprised to see a number of Silverlight based streaming videos very soon on your iPhone. Microsoft probably got the advantage over Adobe here, but we are yet to see if this would make much of a difference anyway. Microsoft and Apple together…nah…doesn’t quite sound right.
