MacRumors reports that the “TabletMac” trademark has recently been transferred from Axiotron to Apple. Axiotron makes tablet computers by modding Macbooks with Wacom digitizers, and has been doing that for several years. They originally marketed the device using the “TabletMac” name which was eventually changed.

Ofcourse, this proves nothing and may quite well be a simple corporate decision from Apple that they thought to be right. But again…can we confidently rule out the fact that Apple may quite as well use the “TabletMac” name for its upcoming table computer? The domain TabletMac.com is still registered to Axiotron though.
