Apple’s iPhone is a mega-success. Apple’s App Store is no-less either. A few months back the store reached 100,000 apps which is now estimated to become around 300,000 possibly before the end of 2010. Now the question comes whether all this is worth it? Is it humanly possible to go through so many apps? Forget 100,000…instead ask yourself “how many apps will I actually need and use?”. The number should probably not be very high unless ofcourse you are a renowned geek and have a hobby of installing/uninstalling apps.

But then again you can be an avid gamer. Finishing up every 3D games on the App store is your ultimate goal. Still…the number of apps is just simply too much. Whether Apple can “drown” itself in its own massive ocean is a difficult question to answer. But still…we cannot rule out the fact that the company can reach a point when it may be too complicated to handle it all.
