Let’s face it, Avatar is one of the best science fiction epic movie you have ever seen. If you don’t agree, then maybe something is wrong with you. Good storyline and a never before seen special effects are just some of the few factors that accounted for the movie’s success. In terms of revenue, the movie has surpassed almost all, including the “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and has officially become the world’s second highest grossing movie of all time. As of now, the revenue stands at a whopping $1.36 billion and that too after just three weeks of its release!

It will likely be playing at the theaters worldwide atleast for atleast a few more weeks. But the question is whether it can become the most successful movie in history. The current no. 1 is “Titanic”, also directed by James Cameron which earned a worldwide collective revenue of $1.85 billion.
