Does it look like a miniature form of a construction site…something like a Lego city? You can again take a closer look. Actually our eyes are deceiving us and even the brain’s collaborating with them. This is a real construction site in Singapore, titled as ‘Mega Construction III, Marina’, which has been photographed by Keith A Loutit in such a way that they look like parts of a toy land. The photographer uses shallow depth of field and tilt-shift lenses to achieve this awesome result. The extraordinary images recreate the idea of viewing objects at a much closer distance although you can perceive that these shots have been taken from far distances.
The series is called the Model City. Some of you might already come across these photographs before but I thought of sharing this collection for those, like me. The photographs featured here are: 1) Mega Construction III, Marina, 2) Church of our Lady of Lourdes, Bugis 3) playground…Covent Garden 4) Bus Interchange, Boon Lay
