Wooden Textile completely redefines the way how wood is used

January 21st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Design, Environment

There’s no doubt that the texture looks like wood; hold on; it is actually wood. Artist Elisa Strozyk from Germany blends wood pieces and fabric to create textile that simply is innovative and gives a completely new definition to wood. It is as if the wood has been transformed into a flexible format unlike what we have seen before. In general wooden objects are supposed to be hard that resists any compression, but the concoction with the fabric makes it feel sleek and having fluidity.

The use of unwanted wood veneer in making these textiles also shows a fabulous way of restructuring and reusing of such waste into an art. A new approach to what we have been seeing and knowing; we would definitely look forward to the applications of these Wooden Textiles.
