Solar powered Saint Clair Lamp feels easy to charge and use

February 19th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Design, Environment

The moment I read about this it reminded me of the Sunny Flower solar charger that could be stuck on the glass surface to harness sunlight. What you see is a lamp which again runs on solar energy and has a pack of solar panels attached at the base. For charging it, the lamp is attached to the window pane by the base which has suctions. During the day it can be left to get charged to be used in the evening or at night to brighten up your desk.

This is the Saint Clair lamp and has been designed by French designer Stephane Maupin. According to Designboom this is supposed to be a winning entry for the VIA project assistance grant.
