NASA launches game for the iPhone

iPhone’s immense popularity is hard to ignore. Even NASA fell for it. Now the world’s most renowned space organization allows you to drive your own Lunar Electric Rover as a simulation. The app developed by NASA comes free of charge and is available for download from the iTunes store. “Welcome to the NASA Lunar Electric Rover (LER) Simulator. You don’t need a driver’s license, but you still need to buckle up as the LER Simulator gives you a glimpse of what it might be like to support the activities of a functioning Lunar Outpost.”

Called the NASA Lunar Electric Rover Simulator, the app has been written and developed by the Analytical Mechanics Association of NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia. Up till now there has been some excellent feedback from most of users who downloaded the game. Requires iPhone OS 2.2.1.
