Microsoft Windows 7 hit the shelves on 22nd October 2009. A few months later the number of Windows 7 licenses sold surpasses the 90 million mark. Obviously this is not just a record, it is a record by a very wide margin. After revealing the sales numbers, Microsoft CFO Peter Klein also officially thanked the company’s main hardware partners…Dell, Sony and HP. The good news is, this is just the beginning. Thousands of companies have just started large scale upgrades from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Things have changed. Looks like Microsoft has really proved itself that it still has what it takes to be a winner. Most of us also have high hopes on the upcoming Windows Mobile 7 series and the Courier.
