iPad up for pre-order, but can it repeat the iPhone saga?

It’s on. One of the most anticipated products of the year a.k.a the iPad, is finally up for pre-order. Sleek design, high quality and a robust OS are just some of the features of this device. But the question is whether it can have the massive reception that we saw in case of the iPhone? Unlike the iPhone, iPad relatively received a more “mixed” reaction. Some found it to be “the next best thing”, while others found it to be limited/underpowered. But does that really matter when Apple launches a new product?
Although not all products from Apple were successful, most were just too good to be ignored. But that’s a different story. Right now 16GB model is available for $499 (+tax) while the high-end 64 GB + 3G model is available for $829 (+tax). The Wi-Fi only models start shipping April 3rd while the 3G ones from the end of April. Pre-order is limited to two per customer. Good luck Apple (with the numbers)!
