First it was the iPad, and now the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0. Apple is everywhere in the news. Today the company sent e-mails to invite press for a sneak peek at the future iPhone OS. The event will be held on this Thursday (April 8th) at Apple headquarters. Probably the most awaited and ‘hoped for’ feature in the new OS is multi-tasking, which most Apple fans believe is likely to happen.

Since all three devices i.e. iPhone, iPod Touch and the new iPad run on the same OS, it is important for Apple to make it as powerful as possible. Multi-tasking is what Apple may need to prove that iPhone OS is a capable competitor to the more robust/powerful Google Android. The iPhone OS 4.0 will likely be available sometime in summer.
