Apple sold over 300,000 iPads on the launch day

Apple reported that the company sold over 300,000 iPads by the end of Saturday (3rd April), which was the official launch day of the product. The number is an accumulation of all orders placed online, at Apple Stores and deliveries to all authorized retailers (e.g. BestBuy). That’s not all. Apple also reported that almost 1 million apps were downloaded on the same day while the total number of books downloaded was over 250,000 from the iBookstore.
Obviously the start is good, rather ‘really good’, for Apple. If these numbers are not impressive, then we are not sure what is. Most Apple users as well as industry analysts believe that the launch of the iPad is the beginning of a new generation of computing. Hell, yes!
