Adobe Flash 10.1 RC is now available for PCs and Netbooks

April 6th, 2010 | 3 Comments | Posted in Software

Finally Adobe Flash 10.1 release candidate is now available for download. Flash 10.1 is supposed to have several new features over its predecessors, with the most prominent being the full support for mobile devices, smartphones, netbooks and IMTs (internet media tablets). The Release Candidate edition is available for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris operating systems. Hardware acceleration, multi-touch support and GPU optimization are just some of the new features included in the update.

Expect to see faster Flash-based HD videos and games, as the new version (10.1) of the world’s most popular multi-media platform is here to make a difference. This early edition is primarily meant for developers and testers, so that they can “provide early feedback to Adobe on new features, enhancements, and compatibility with previously authored content. Consumers can try the prerelease of Flash Player 10.1 to preview hardware acceleration of video on supported Windows PCs and x86-based netbooks”.
