Apple releases the list of “iPad-ready” Flash-free websites, proves that HTML 5 is the future

April 6th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Apple

In an effort to convince potential buyers/customers, Apple recently released a list of content-rich and popular websites that are Flash-free, and ofcourse are “iPad-ready”. Most websites on the list are highly ranked when considered by total page-views and unique users. Apple obviously gives us the option to take a look around and realize, that it’s not Adobe Flash, rather HTML 5, that is the future. And in some ways, it is quite true.

Safari, the included browser in iPad, supports three of the most important technologies on the web, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Honestly this is convincing and fair. Adobe Flash is relatively much more memory hogging that HTML 5. Besides, who wants a monopoly anyway?
