Toshiba preparing itself for Android and Windows based tablets

April 15th, 2010 | 2 Comments | Posted in Gadgets, Hardware

Toshiba has recently joined the bandwagon to take on Apple’s iPad. The Japanese electronics giant revealed plans to come with tablet-based devices, that will range from Windows 7 to Android-powered. Most of the models will be portable i.e. they will mostly include smaller screens like the iPad. But the range will also include larger devices which will run Windows 7 and will probably include dual touch screens.

Toshiba seems to be serious on the project and would be able to launch the range of tablets as early as end of 2010 or early 2011. The company’s sales performance also has been really good this year as it was able to ship 1.5 million PC units in the last quarter to U.S. alone.
