Looks like the plant in is need of a new pot! Yes it does and that too can be done without any soil spills or damage to its roots, if you are using the very white pot that you see in the picture. The white pot which looks broken actually consists of two parts that can be attached and detached whenever required. When the plant is in need of a bigger pot the two halves of the pot can be disassembled keeping the soil and roots intact!
