Internet Explorer share drops below 60% for the first time

Most web developers I have come across do not like IE. Whether it is IE 7 or even IE 8, it really doesn’t matter. The reputation Microsoft gained from IE 6 is simply too hard for all developers to forget. And considering that the other browsers around can do everything IE does and that too significantly faster, there isn’t much good to talk about IE anyway.
Now, let’s come back to the point. IE for the first time drops below the 60% market share (April 2010 data) as per latest study from Net Applications. At 59.95%, IE is visibly struggling to stay on top. Chrome now has a 6.73% market share while Firefox and Safari have 24.59%and 4.72% respectively.
