Would you like to spend a few days in it? Yes, you could if you were in Netherlands. Anyone who sets eye on this picture is sure to think it as a little toy house, but wait, this colorful abode is for real. This is the Hotel Inntel in Zaandam near Amsterdam which looks like a bundle of traditional houses stacked upon one another. The hotel which opened its doors on 18th March 2010 has been conceived by Wilfried van Winden (WAM architecten, Delft).
The 7-storey hotel not only resembles the local houses on the exterior but also has interiors (especially suites) that reflect the local culture. The architect refers it as the “home from home“. In addition to “160 guest rooms, the hotel also offers a bar-restaurant, a swimming pool, and a wellness centre with a Finnish sauna and a Turkish bath.”
