Lenovo’s LePhone gets unboxed

May 10th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Hardware

Lenovo originally demonstrated its first Android-powered device a.k.a. LePhone at CES 2010 in January. Finally, several months later the LePhone gets unboxed, in China. Thanks to the folks at Sooyuu. To start with, the device has an amazing 3.7 inch AMOLED display which is much brighter and sharper than conventional screens, and runs a modified/customized version of Android. Since it has been released only in China, the phone provides integration to Chinese social networking websites and also features an impressive Chinese turn-by-turn navigation suite.

It falls a little short on the camera though, since it features only a 3.2 MP version with no flash. Other than that you can expect it to do what any other high-end Android based phone does.  At this point there isn’t any evidence of an international launch, so the LePhone is currently restricted to China and its user-base.
