Microsoft on IE6, “You wouldn’t drink 9-year-old milk, so why use a 9-year-old browser?”

Looks like Microsoft really wants to get rid of IE6 (like we all did a few years back). The company’s Australia branch literally says, “You wouldn’t drink 9-year-old milk, so why use a 9-year-old browser?”. The new campaign mentions that the browser was launched in 2001 and it’s high time that users move to a more secured Internet Explorer 8, that “is designed to cope with today’s modern cyber crime.”
The campaign also links to a list of quick facts related to IE 8′s advanced security, and compares it to other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. Here’s an interesting quote from the website…”WARNING: After reading these figures, you may feel a little exposed – unless you’re using Internet Explorer 8!”. Whether or not you will seriously consider switching from your Firefox/Chrome to IE8 (after reading through the slides) is another story though.
