Verizon and Google teams up to make the iPad rival

May 12th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Business, Google

Lowell McAdam, CEO of Verizon Wireless has revealed that the company is closely working with Google to come up with a new tablet computer. So, will this be a “win-win” for both Google and Verizon again? Well…we have seen Android phones piling up in the Verizon network and they all have been quite successful. This collaboration to build the “iPad rival” will only strengthen the bond between these two companies.

Although Verizon is America’s largest wireless carrier, the company’s biggest competitor, AT&T, still poses a significant threat. It cannot be overlooked that AT&T is the carrier for both Amazon’s Kindle as well as the new Apple iPad. Not much is known about the Google-Verizon tablet, other than the fact that it will run Android (duh!).
