May 14th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Hardware

Acer will soon launch the first Chrome OS-based computer as early as this June. So for those who are dying to see the new web-based OS in action, will soon see it for real. The device will be launched at the Computex Taipei show to be held from June 1 to June 5. We are not sure though what kind of device would it be i.e. netbook or tablet, although Google claims that Chrome OS can even run in smartbooks and tablets powered by ARM processors.

We also don’t know when will the new Acer device be available for sale, but we do know that Google’s original estimation that Chrome OS-based computers will be luanched by second half of this year, is coming true.
