Endura LED Bulb from Philips has a lifespan of 25000 hours

This is the 12 watt Endura LED light bulb from Royal Philips Electronics which is said to have a lifetime that is 25 times longer than a 60 watt incandescent bulb. The 12 watt bulb is said to make an 80% energy savings with providing 806 lumens. As compared to the regular 60 watt bulb with 1000 hours efficiency, Endura would be able to impart 25,000 hours of functionality.
Estimations by the company suggests a yearly savings of about 32.6 terawatt-hours of electricity with the use of this bulb. It is like powering up 16.7 million US households [14.4% of the total number of households in the US] and cutting off annual carbon emissions by 5.3 million metric tons. The Endura LED Bulb would be available in the market by the end of this year which is also said to reduce the cost per bulb in a household or business by $120.
